Answers to the most common questions about Raven Market.

What wallets can I use?

Raven Market runs on Canton Network — not Ethereum or any EVM chain. You must use a Canton-native wallet: Loop Wallet (recommended for most users) or Console Wallet (for developers). MetaMask and all other EVM wallets are not supported.

What currency do I need to trade?

At launch, all Raven trades are denominated in CC (Canton Coin) — Canton Network's native asset. Your stakes, payouts, and fees are all settled in CC. USDC-denominated contracts for BTC, ETH, and other major assets are planned for future releases.

Can I lose more than my stake?

No. The maximum loss on any position is the CC you staked at entry. There are no liquidations, no margin calls, and no funding rates on Raven Market. Your downside is always capped and always known before you confirm.

What is the difference between Daily and Weekly?

Daily contracts settle every day at 12:00 GMT with tighter strike bands (±5%). Weekly contracts settle every Friday at 12:00 GMT with wider bands (±15%). Daily suits short-term directional trades; weekly suits broader conviction plays.

How is the settlement price determined?

Settlement prices come from Chainlink at the exact expiry timestamp. The price is recorded on-chain and independently verifiable. See the Settlement page for full details.

Can I exit a trade before expiry?

Yes — as long as the contract is in the active Trading state. Full or partial close is available from the Open Positions panel. Once the contract enters Closing Soon or Settlement Pending, positions are locked. See Closing a Position.

What happens if the Chainlink oracle fails?

If the oracle cannot deliver a valid price, the contract enters Oracle Error state and all CC stakes are returned to traders in full. No premium is lost due to oracle failure.

Do I need to provide liquidity to trade?

No. The protocol pool at launch is seeded and managed by Raven Market directly. No user LP deposits are required or available at launch.

Is Raven Market audited?

The protocol is undergoing independent security audits. Reports will be published in full when complete. Audit status is shown in the Trust section of the left sidebar in the app.

Is Raven Market gambling?

No. Outcomes are determined by real CC market prices delivered by the Chainlink oracle — not random events. Raven is a decentralized derivatives protocol where outcomes are based on publicly verifiable, real-world market data.
